FIRST OFF, MAYBE YOU’D LIKE TO MEET LAST YEAR’S WINNER – DENISE FINNESTAD FROM MINNESOTA. She told me she had to “pinch herself” several times throughout the year to remind herself she was going to Spain. And here she is – in Spain!

Hi Kathie,
The trip was amazing! It was a nice balance of painting and sightseeing with time to get to know fellow painters and make new friends. Staying at La Finca was a real bonus. There was so much to paint right there! Hosts Denis and Sally were so accommodating and made every effort to share the “real Spain” with us, not just the touristy places. And the food was wonderful – such a treat to be able to focus on painting all day, then sit down to gourmet meals!
La Finca and Spain are amazing! I’ll never be able to thank you enough for this experience!
Denise

WE WILL BEGIN ENTERING AFTER JUNE 30TH. HERE’S WHY:
UPDATE: I had my last chemo treatment (YAHOOOO) but have been a bit under the weather the past few days. I think that by the time June 30th rolls around, I should be ready to accept your entries! Although my antibody chemo will continue for a year, I am now finished with the bad stuff and am looking forward to recouping and becoming myself again. This contest is not only for you, but it is also my own gift to myself and is guaranteed to make me smile BIG. I can’t wait to get started on the celebration, so I’m going to rest up between now and June 30, when we will announce how you can enter the contest. Everyone will have a chance to win the trip – if you’ve never travelled and can’t paint, or even if you’re well-travelled. Even if you’ve already been to Spain.

That’s it! I’m a little bit sorry that I wasn’t able to wait until the actual entry day to announce, but I am just too excited. Remember that I wasn’t able to go to Spain with the groups this year because of my chemo, so I am really looking forward to next year – already!
So, SEE YOU HERE ON JUNE 30TH FOR DETAILS AND YOUR CHANCE TO WIN YOUR OWN SPOT ON OUR JOURNEY TRIP TO WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL SPAIN!
Kathie xoxoooooooooo (extra hugs just for the heck of it).
Oh! Yes, the trip is already half filled. There are only 7 spots remaining. Please CLICK HERE to sign up for the trip. If you win the trip, we will refund your deposit, of course! (I’ve got my fingers crossed for you).

Love you
You goofy girl, Celena. I miss you so much.
Kathie, You look terrific!! Have a wonderful summer and thank you for giving us who could never afford such an exciting trip a chance to dream of having one! Winner or not, it’s fun to let our imaginations take that flight of fancy! Thank you also for the picture vignettes of Spain that you sent out a week or two ago. They led me to sit and sketch some scenes outside my own windows. I hadn’t taken the time to do that for simply ages!
Kathie, glad to hear your chemo is over. Continued prayers for you!
So happy your chemo is done. But I’m sure not as excited as you. Can’t wait for the contest. It would be awesome to win. I’d sign up now but can’t afford it. At least if I don’t win I can still see you in September this year in New Orleans. Yoohoo! Take care and God Bless.
So great to see a picture of you! The cancer treatment center that Mark and I volunteered at sadly had to close early last year. However, my hair is still streaked with pink in support of my friends who are fighting cancer. Granddaughter [age 11] is going in next week for her haircut and pink streaks in her hair. She tickles me. Just let someone try to kid her about the pink in her hair and she is hitting them up to make a donation to cancer research. I will be eagerly looking forward to entering the contest! Painting, laughing, eating and loving being there would be fantastic! Keeping you and your family in my prayers. Take Care!
Gosh! I was looking and your picture again and I did a double-take. That center is using the exact same style of recliner chairs that NC Cancer Center used. Same color, same style, the same! I wish I had a dollar for every one of those chairs I have wiped down. It brought back some memories of wonderful cancer fighters that I was blessed to know. They all got scattered about when the center closed. My BFF there moved back to her hometown, the boardwalk area of Jersey City, NJ. Goes to show me how easy it is to see more stuff in detail since I took the 30 drawing class. Big Smile!
Thanks, Dianna, for all you do. You’re special.
So excited for you completing chemo and moving ahead. You are always in my prayers. Your outlook is so positive for all of us. I look forward to the end of the month. Again, thank you for all that you do and give. Rest comfortably and gain your strength back. Take care.
Feel better soon; take good care and keep smiling that wonderful smile. You are the sweetest person I know and love your sense of humor. It has helped get you through this bump in your road of life! Hugs and much love, Pat
