Ginwashi
$6.00Kathie paints all of her batiks on Ginwashi rice paper. It’s light weight and semi-transparent and is full of small fibers, which add a lot of texture to your pieces. This paper is used for all batiks, whether full-size or card size.
If you’d like to PRINT the original Ginwashi batiks designs do not use the Ginwashi paper. It’s too thin and will jam your printer.
Instead we recommend you use Kinwashi Stationery paper, which is meant for ink-jet printers. It’s thicker and full of wonderful fibers, which make it look like the original batik when printed!
