Each Downloadable packet contains a line drawing, complete instructions, a color reference photo and waxing diagrams to assist you with color and wax placement.
NOTE:
- All written instruction pages are printed onto 8.5 x 11.
- The waxing Diagrams are printed onto legal (8.5 x 14) paper.
- Printing 11 x 17 requires a copier that has that capability. You can do this at your local print shop, if needed.
Ginwashi rice paper used for the packets is a separate purchase.
Be sure you pick up what you need while shopping for your packet.

Ginwashi
$6.50Kathie paints all of her batiks on Ginwashi rice paper. It’s light weight and semi-transparent and is full of small fibers, which add a lot of texture to your pieces. This paper is used for all batiks, whether full-size or card size.
If you’d like to PRINT the original Ginwashi batiks designs do not use the Ginwashi paper. It’s too thin and will jam your printer.
Instead we recommend you use Kinwashi Stationery paper, which is meant for ink-jet printers. It’s thicker and full of wonderful fibers, which make it look like the original batik when printed!
