If ever anyone needed a scarf, it’s these dudes. Or (noting the heels) are they ladies with a testosterone problem? While I leave you to ponder the strangeness of the universe, here is another scarf lesson…
GELLI PLATES
Gelli Plates are wonderful for a lot of reasons. We’ve used them in other blog posts, so why not use them for our silk scarves? I’ve put together a very short video for you to explain this easy process Hope you enjoy!

I have been wanting to get a hello plate! Now all the more reason to do so!! Thanks so much!!
Gelli plate!!! That better knowing autocorrect!!!
When using the tgaps with wax for resist, do you dip the tgap into the wax, or brush it on and then stamp onto the scarf?? i have a couple that I’d like to use….they would make a lovely design, but I’m unsure about the hot wax and silk together. Loved the demo today with the geli plate technique! (yes, I’m the same one. 🙂 )
Kathy- what a great demo. I’ve just been experimenting with my gelli plates and scarves. Your Using water and overlapping are very helpful hints. Thnanks
Kathie I have a couple jelly plates so can’t wait to try this. Thanks again for sharing your great tips and ideas.
Love your scarves – thank you for sharing another technique.
I will be pondering that photo for a very long time, too funny. Sure wish I could go to Greece with you but not able this time.
Thanks for all you do.

Hi Kathy, How do you set this paint in the scarf and where do I look for a gelli plate??? Thanks for sharing your talent. Your awesome!
Thanks for another fun video.
I enjoyed the video. I think I’d like to try painting some fabric and making a simple shirt out of it!!!
Kathie — are you printing on BOTH sides of the scarf? Or – does the image come through the silk to the other side … thanks for your info.
Another question: can I use the alcohol markers on the same scarf as these liquid acrylics? How about embellishing with the puffy fabric paint?
Thanks for the great ideas AND your demos. Really get me going! ;0)
